Disclosures
The Threshold Report reports what is real in AI: verified developments, security, a running answer to whether AI can do specific things yet, and how selected funds change their AI holdings. This page explains the limits of that coverage and the relationships that could affect it.
1. Not investment advice
We are a publisher, not an investment adviser or broker-dealer. Our content is general, impersonal information. A story, chart, ranking or fund change is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, and it does not consider your finances or goals. Investing involves risk, including loss of principal, and past activity does not predict future results.
2. What Market Watch shows, and what it does not
- It compares the daily holdings files that selected funds' issuers publish. It shows changes in the number of shares a fund holds, adjusted for money flowing into or out of the fund. It does not show trades, trade prices, timing, reasons, or price performance.
- A share-count change is not a return, and a portfolio weight is not a recommendation. Each chart names what it measures and the dates it covers.
- Issuer files can be late, incomplete, revised or published on different days, and our adjustments are estimates. Corporate actions such as splits can distort a comparison until they are reflected in the data.
- We cover a limited, selected set of funds. Their absence or presence is an editorial choice, not an endorsement. We have no affiliation with any fund or issuer, and their names and trademarks belong to them.
3. Editorial indicators
Board answers ("Not yet", "Sort of", "Yes"), the security dial, lane scores and story classifications are editorial judgments about the evidence available at a stated time. They are not audits, certifications, safety ratings or predictions. "Under Control" and "Chaos" describe the direction of the evidence we track, not the safety of any system. Later evidence or corrections can change any of them.
4. How we use AI
We use AI models from OpenAI and Anthropic to help find, summarize, classify and draft coverage from public sources, under editorial rules we set and enforce. AI can make mistakes. Every story links to its sources so you can check them, and we correct errors when we find them and keep a record of corrections. Images credited to an AI model are illustrations, not photographs of events.
5. Advertising and sponsorship
Paid placements, including sponsored announcements and sponsored tools, are labeled "Sponsored" where they appear. Sponsors cannot buy or influence coverage, Board answers, scores, the security dial or Editor's Picks: a sponsored tool has to meet the same bar as every other tool. A sponsor pays for where it appears, never for the answer. We do not share subscribers' personal information with advertisers.
6. Affiliate links
We do not currently use affiliate links. If we ever do, each one will be labeled where it appears.
7. Personal holdings
People who produce The Threshold Report may own securities of companies or funds we cover, including funds tracked in Market Watch. Coverage and selections are decided on the evidence, never to benefit a position.
